She played the young wife of a man who was older in the movie (the same role that Shah Rukh Khan played). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka Sharma played the role in the film 'Badmash Company The film was released in 2010. The film also featured Shahid Kapoor and the actor Vir Das. The film received mixed reviews. Anushka played a role in a film called Band Baaja Baaraat with Ranveer who played a Punjabi-American girl of middle class who sets up her wedding planning business. This movie was well received and became a sleeper. Anushka's contract for three films at Yash Raj Films ended with the release of Band Baaja Baaraat.
